Justice, Peace, and Reconciliation Committees

The PCEA Justice, Peace, and Reconciliation Committees aim to promote justice, peace, and reconciliation in our communities. They encourage church members to be reconcilers, defenders of justice, truth, sanctity of life, and human rights. The committees educate congregations to speak against misuse of public resources and oppression. They use God’s word and commandments as guides to combat ignorance, superstition, disease, intimidation, and other social problems.

Purpose

The work of the congregational, Parish, Presbyterial, and National Justice, Peace, and Reconciliation Committees (JPRCs) furthers the aims of Chapter 16, Act 26 of the PCEA Practice and Procedure. Their actions revolve around these concerns and other relevant PCEA publications and initiatives.
